Under the terms of Ordinance No. 7937 C.M.S., a vendor submitting bids to the City may be eligible for a 5% bid preference. Qualifying as a "Local Business" and a "Small Local Business" requires meeting the nine criteria shown on the attached (Page____) "Operational Definition of a Local Business".

3. Failure to return the completed form may result in the exclusion of your company from the bidder's list. Applicant acknowledges that it is his/her responsibility to keep the information current by notifying the City of Oakland of any changes. The applicant also acknowledges that three repeated failures to respond to Invitation to Bid may result in removal from the bid list. A "No Bid" is considered a response.
4. Falsification of information regarding ownership, location or other data may be cause for removal from the automated vendor data base and elimination if bid participation opportunities.
