The City of Oakland City Council passed a resolution adopting the City of Oakland Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Curb Ramp Transition Plan on May 5, 2009: City Council Resolution Number 81954.

The City of Oakland has a policy to install curb ramps upon request by qualified individuals with disabilities at locations not otherwise scheduled for improvement. The program is not intended to address community concerns other than access for people with disabilities. To request installation of curb ramps, complete the Curb Ramp Program application and submit to:
